About the 9th Battalion Commissioners
The 9th Battalion Commissioners is an organization of Fire District Commissioners representing the fire districts and member departments of Nassau County's 9th Battalion.
The Battalion promotes cooperation, communication, leadership, and the exchange of information among its member departments. Through regular meetings, educational opportunities, and collaborative initiatives, the organization provides a forum for commissioners to discuss issues affecting fire districts, share best practices, and strengthen relationships throughout the Battalion.
The departments represented by the Battalion collectively provide volunteer fire protection, emergency medical services, fire prevention, and public education to the communities they proudly serve.
